Our team is looking for a “hands-on” individual contributor with strong accounting, financial analysis, and costing skills. We value your superior communication and problem-solving skills. Being proactive and committed to continuous process improvement will help you excel in this role. This position will report to the Assistant Controller.
What You Will Do:
-Manage Fixed Asset control, CIP classifications and monitor in service dates. -Perform a variety of close, reporting, and support tasks within the Accounting department of an established manufacturing-oriented company. -Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations timely and accurately maintaining GAAP and FICAP compliance. -Help maintain SOX compliance through testing of internal controls. -Setting and rolling standard costs. -Effectively partner with teams from across all functional areas of the plant gain alignment and/or improvement in processes. -Identify and implement projects to gain process consistency and improvements. -Ad-hoc analyses as requested by Assistant Controller.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
-0-3 years experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing company preferred
-Strong collaboration and presentation skills, along with ability to explain and communicate financial results to line managers and business leaders in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes.
-Strong Excel, ERP, and financial analysis skills.
-Ability to work and communicate well with all types of people inside and outside of the organization.
-Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities with the ability to respond to change in a productive manner.
-Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
-Must be detail-oriented and have well defined organizational skills. -Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
