Electronics Test Technician

Position Summary:
Perform environmental calibration on electronic, electro-mechanical or mechanical subassemblies and end items with varying and often significant complexity in an advanced technology and ERP manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Duties:
•Maintains test and quality records associated with production testing and assembly per AS9100C / ISO 9001:2008.
•Perform both manual and automated tests on assemblies, end items and system level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with internal policies and regulatory and safety requirements.
•Some environmental and calibration tests may include: environmental conditioning, temperature calibration, sensor noise, bias and scale factor, functional, vibration, shock, power supply sensitivity, axis alignment, magnetometer calibration, centrifuge, as well as visual inspection of various assemblies.
•Assist engineering with test and evaluation of developmental products and support production transition from engineering into manufacturing.
•Limited soldering and assembly required in peak overflow conditions. Perform other duties as assigned.
•Maintains adherence to production, test and quality system procedures and processes with strong commitment to quality in everything we do.
•Performs all other related duties as assigned by Manager. *

Qualifications:
•AA degree in Electronics Technology, or Mechanical Technology or equivalent knowledge through experience and/or other recognized educational institution.
•Minimum 5-year test technician (test, manufacturing or repair technician) combined with assembly (soldering) experience.
•Aerospace and Defense electronics experience strongly preferred (inertial product experience highly desired).
•Some limited experience in an ERP/MRP computerized environment desired.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Windows Operating System.

•Must be willing to work cooperatively in a small team environment.
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Contributes to documents and procedures for assembly, test and repair processes.
•May also assist engineering in testing new development products.
•Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Additional Requirements:
•Must be U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. law, i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents.

Work Shift:
•Must be willing to work variable shifts during training, then transition to a 2nd shift position which starts at 3:00 PM. Standard work week is Tuesday – Saturday with the potential of working rotational coverage on Sunday and Monday.
