Shipping & Receiving Specialist

$20-25/hour

We are currently seeking a full time Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team at our Snoqualmie, Washington location. This candidate should have strong abilities to work well in a highly motivated team environment. Our work environment is fast-paced and requires team members to have technical aptitude and be detail-oriented, to learn quickly and have organizational skills, but most importantly to have a positive attitude and enjoy their job and their peers.
The Specialist will be responsible for all material activities pertaining to the warehouse, shipping, and receiving, inventory control and quality inspection. Including maintenance of warehouse supplies and storage of Hazmat Materials to ensure the highest level of safety. They will also kit BOM parts for assembly and out-sourced processing.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Processing for shipping, assembling proper documentation and addressing, including export compliance to accomplish all area Quality & Customer Satisfaction metrics.
•Receiving, unpacking, reviewing required documentation, and properly storing.
•Maintaining accurate inventory counts, rotations, and yearly inventory counts.
•Electronic collection and storage of part characteristics and photos in ERP system and other places as needed.
•Arranging for the proper transportation of products.
•Properly documenting and recording to meet quality requirements policies and procedures.
•Informing sales team and/or customers of receipts and processing of shipping notifications.
•Notifying sales and accounting of any shipping or receiving discrepancies or delays.
•Working with accounting on COD’s, Prepays or any accounting issues pertaining to the shipment of goods.
•Plan, direct and coordinate the storage and distribution of materials and products.
•Read up on Industry News that contributes to the success of LKD’s competitive advantages
•Kit electronic and mechanical components for assembly
•Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum 3 years hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
•Knowledge of ERP systems to run reports, metrics and internet business models and technology.
•Skilled in conducting in-house training as appropriate for quality and safety issues.
•Ability to maintain your own proper training required to perform Quality functions.
•Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
•Attention to detail and commitment to a high standard of quality.
•Skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment.
•Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
•Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Windows Operating System
•Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
•US citizenship required to comply with U.S. DOD citizenship and ITAR flow-down requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling – ladders and stairs
•Lifting/Pushing/Pulling – Must be able to continually lift to 50 lbs.
