Summer Camp Counselor
We are looking for STEM Summer Camp Counselor who are enthusiastic about empowering students in STEM through hands-on projects and games to join our team for the 2022 season!
What do Summer Camp Counselor do? First and foremost, they must ensure campers are safe at all times. The relationships you build with campers is paramount and we emphasize social emotional learning as well as embracing STEM subjects. We need reliable staff who are ready to commit to 4+ weeks contract and duty hours between 9am-3pm Mon. to Fri. in summer break.

Summer Camp Counselor duties include preparing each day and implementing the STEM programs, and managing equipment and supplies for your camp group. Experience working with students tutoring is preferred, as well as strong skills in communication and engagement with students whose age 6-14.
Develop, Prepare and Implement the STEM programs with day by day schedule and plans, as well as material kits (STEM Robot Building, Coding Program for Kids, Chess Learning, Space Adventures curriculum...)
Lead recreational and educational activities (indoor and outdoor games)
Supervise our Teen Staff (1-2 teens might be assigned to help with your group of campers)
Educate campers through games and explorations
Resolve occasional social emotional conflicts and address behavioral issues
Make sure all safety rules are followed
Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed
Communication with families if needed
Education degree or teaching experience recommended, but not required.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Comfort and enthusiasm around instruction for students age 6-14
Patient and reliable
