Scoop Shop Manager

$22 to $26 Hour (Total Compensation)


Snoqualmie Ice Cream is looking for an outgoing, positive leader with a can-do attitude to manage our downtown Snoqualmie scoop shop. In the heart of the historic downtown, you will build relationship with our local community, ensure happy memories for visitors to the region, and help us grow our team and our business to bring smiles to the faces of everyone we serve.

Scoop Shop Managers are responsible for their store’s appearance and tone, customer experience, and maintaining team morale. The right leader has experience working in a fast-paced environment, and is just as enthusiastic about leading happy, quality focused teams as they are about customer relationship development. They demonstrate great customer service and relationship building skills, have the know-how to build and run a happy, efficient, and customer focused team. The manager is also responsible for ensuring our team adheres to the highest food safety and cleanliness standards in the business.

This position reports to store ownership and is responsible for our executing on our vision of making every customer feel like family, bringing joy to our little corner of the world one cone at a time.

Scoop Shop Manager Responsibilities

Set the tone with our team for providing great customer experiences, and sustain strong team morale
Motivate and inspire the team to provide great customer experiences while maintaining the pace of the high season
Effectively manage the team including hiring, training, coaching, and highlighting successes
Communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with all members of our team
Manage all operational processes including but not limited to: inventory tracking, ordering and scheduling
Ensure accurate cash handling practices by all employees
Actively participate in business analysis; recommend and execute process improvements
Lead with a calm, directive approach, while serving customers side by side with the team
Deliver great service
Every customer is greeted, every customer is thanked
Offer samples and suggestions to meet and exceed customer expectations
Know the greater mission and history of Snoqualmie Ice Cream and share it with our customers
Operate as a servant leader, lead by example, and motivate others to do the same
Continually stock ice cream, sorbet, waffle cones, and merchandise
Operate cash register; follow all cash handling procedures
Keep customer areas and work area clean and neat; continual cleaning is a must to maintain a welcoming environment
Follow all health and food safety guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Managers will work five days a week, but are responsible for responding to emergencies as they arise on other days.

Shop Manager Qualifications

Have retail or client/customer service management experience that includes team leadership for a team of 5 or more.
Ability to travel to other locations if needed
Have great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
Be over 18 in order to work after 8pm
Ability to lift 30lbs on a regular basis
Have access to a phone that can text, make calls, and access the internet
Washington State food handler’s permit is required


This role is full time, hourly – rate of pay DOE, but anticipated total compensation (wage + tips) is $22 - $26/hour
