Material Handler 4

The Material Handler 4 performs a broad range of warehouse and inventory activities. You must be experienced in Material Handling concepts such as Cycle-Counting, Variance Reconciliation, FIFO Procedures, Dated Material Containment, problem solving for space and resource constraints, and Inventory Accuracy Reporting. Must exhibit precision, organization, and attention to detail skills. Must participate in continuous improvement efforts and be a role model for implementing and maintaining 5S, and lean based principals.


Receive purchased parts and finished goods and put away in designated locations.
Must follow all manufacturing and quality procedures and requirements.
Uses Pick List paperwork to pull parts according to Production needs and priorities.
Pull materials while consistently following policies and procedures, such as verifying “first in first out”, checking expiration date on dated material, etc.
Fill Kanban or other material needs on the Production Floor as required.
May perform audits for Limited Shelf-Life Materials and/or Refrigerated Items.
Retrieve product in a timely manner from Receiving Inspection, Receiving, or Production.
Operate forklifts and other Material Handling equipment to retrieve and put away product.
Perform cycle counting as assigned.
Maintain an orderly and safe working environment to ensure cleanness and employee safety.
May be required occassionally to substitute for the MMO Lead.

It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.


High school degree, for the purpose of performing basic math functions, reading, and interpreting instructions, writing procedures and completing shipping forms.
Experience in warehouse functions such as stocking, cycle counting, pick and pack shipping and receiving, material handling operation will be 7+ years (relevant experience and performance determines level)
Ability to reconcile inventory variances including cycle-counts, receiving errors and misplaced material.
Computer usage - Ability to use MS Office, including email to communicate with other areas of the Company regarding priorities and specific requests, Excel or other computer programs such as MRP databases for inventory transactions, etc.
Available to work overtime when required.
Attention to detail / organized approach to work. Able to receive both written, and verbal instructions.
Able to work as part of a team
Should possess good communication skills and be able to escalate issues to Manager, including 5S, and Lean workspace ideas when appropriate.
Organized and able to perform duties without close supervision.
Able to be certified to operate equipment such as forklifts and other material handling equipment.
