Child Care Lead Teacher

$21.13-$24.27 hour DOE

Paraeducator II - Childcare Lead

Location: 330 Ballarat Ave N, North Bend, WA 98045

Anticipated start date: January 2022

Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm (includes two 15-min paid breaks and a 30-min unpaid lunch)

Weekly working hours: 37.5

This position includes a sign-on bonus of $500 (paid after the first 30 days of work) and a retention bonus of $750 (paid on September 30, 2022). 

Funding for these bonuses is provided through a WA State DCYF Child Care Stabilization Grant.

Staff Childcare Center Leads are responsible for implementing early learning program services under the oversight of a center director and program supervisor.

A Staff Childcare Center Lead must meet the following qualifications: Be at least eighteen years old; Have an ECE state certificate or at least 10 ECE college quarter credits, or earn those credits within five years of being hired into the position; Pre-service requirements outlined by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), including a background check, fingerprinting and TB test (may be completed after hiring but prior to start date). The Childcare Lead will work with children aged 12 months to 5 years old, implementing the daily childcare schedule that includes supervising play, toileting, and food prep.
