Inside Sales Customer Representative

LKD Aerospace (the “Company”) is seeking an innovative, driven, and highly motivated candidate for an Inside Sales Customer Representative position. Reporting to the Vice President Business Development, this position will be an integral member of the team. Responsible for managing all aspects of inside and outside sales of aerospace components. This includes the sale of the organization's products in a specified region or major geographical area and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel. Our customer base includes OEM’s, government and the aftermarket ranging from airlines, MROs, and brokers. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a small team environment, collaborating with the Company's senior management and have strong attention detail and self-organization.
Major Responsibilities
Answer all customer inquiries including requests for quotations (RFQ’s), sales order acknowledgements, order status, problem resolution, documentation, RMAs, and quality assurance requests for information.
Identify and grow the business through sales activities and retention of current customer accounts.
Responsible for applicable metrics on assigned customer accounts including bookings, sales, new customers, follow-ups, and RMA.
Ensures customer satisfaction as the primary customer focal point for standard product sales.
Keep Customer Contact database up to date with current opportunities, chase plans, and proposals.
Possess extensive knowledge of aerospace market and stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
Works cooperatively with all other functions of the business including finance, shipping, and receiving, purchasing, and planning, manufacturing operations, repair operations and business development.
Cross train for backup support role for purchasing, shipping, and receiving, MRO customer service and other roles as necessary.
Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
Generate sales reports each week and submit them to management.
Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence.
Assists Company with account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Becomes actively involved in sales orientation and sales training programs.
Acts as a resource to management in contract opportunities and proposals.
Coordinates and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest for customers.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements - Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business or Communication is preferable, but not required.
5-8 years of experience, in Customer Service/Sales in an aviation and/or aerospace OEM or aftermarket business.
Ability to travel 5%
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities quickly.
Knowledge of MRP and/or ERP systems in an aerospace environment.
Highly skilled in maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific customer problems.
Outstanding organizational and project management skills with experience at managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
