2024 Farm Jobs– We are now accepting applications for a variety of postions. Are you someone who has spent a few years working on farms and are now looking to take the next step? Are you thinking about starting your own farm, but want some more experience under your belt? Are you interested in local food/farming and want to dip your toe in the water? We have a number of full and part-time positions on our farm and at our farm store in Duvall.

Farm Hand

Starting at $18 Hour

Full-Time Farm – This is a five day a week job, where you will be paticipating in all aspects of the farm: planting, irrigation, tractor work, harvest, wash/pack, and maintenance tasks. We seek hardworking, mature, people who can work with minimal oversight. Prior farming experience is preferred but not required. You’ll be working with a core crew of experienced employees, many of whom have worked at Local Roots Farm for over 5 years. Full time employees must have a valid drivers license, transporation to farm, and a willingness to drive a one-day-a-week delivery route in Seattle in a farm van.

Part-time Farm Store staff
– Staff our farm store in Duvall, with the option to work one or more days on the farm as well.
– Store shifts are 7:30 am to 1 pm OR 12 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday through Sunday. We are currently seeking staff for Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
– Prior retail or farmers market experience a plus.
– Must have reliable transportation to/from farm. Most store shifts include picking up produce from the farm to stock the store.

Tomato/Harvest Crew – June through September, two to three full days a week 7AM – 4PM, total of 16 or 24 hours per week. Join our crew for morning tomato harvest, finish the day on other harvest tasks. Must be able to work quickly and carefully in tight spaces, kneel/squat, and lift 40#. – Paid sick/personal time, accrues 1 hour for every 40 hours worked
– Farm produce for personal use
– Pay starts at $18, and may be higher DOE
