Position Overview:

The Pro Shop Assistant at Mount Si Golf Course plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the golf facility. This multifaceted position involves various responsibilities, including managing reservations, golfer check-in, acting as a starter, assisting players, overseeing cart and club rentals, and maintaining the driving range. The ideal candidate will excel in providing excellent customer service while ensuring smooth operations at the golf course.

Responsibilities:

1. Reservations Management:
   • Handle reservation requests from golfers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in booking tee times.
   • Assist in managing the tee sheet and optimizing course utilization.
2. Golfer Check-In:
   • Greet golfers upon arrival and facilitate the check-in process.
   • Provide information about course conditions, rules, and regulations.
3. Starter:
   • Coordinate tee times and ensure the timely and orderly flow of players onto the course.
   • Communicate with golfers regarding any delays or changes in schedule.
4. Player Assistant:
   • Monitor the pace of play on the course and provide assistance to golfers as needed.
   • Address any issues or concerns raised by players to enhance their experience.
5. Cart & Club Rentals:
   • Manage the rental of golf carts and clubs, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
   • Assist golfers in selecting appropriate equipment and provide instructions on usage.
6. Driving Range:
   • Maintain the driving range area, including ball collection and replenishment of supplies.
   • Assist golfers with range access and provide basic instruction if necessary.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in a golf course setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for managing reservations and using point-of-sale systems.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed.
