Bike Rental and Retail Associate

$18 Hour

Job Summary: Bike rental located at one of our locations. Are you passionate about great customer service? Even if you don’t know bikes, do you have a strong background in outdoor retail and services? Would you enjoy working in a park setting and helping people have a great time on bikes? Join our team as a bike rental associate for the summer!

The Line Experience is on a mission to help individuals experience the joy and freedom of riding bikes. We provide the gear, service, knowledge and low-cost bike rentals and skill building areas to progress in the sport while creating a welcoming community for riders of all levels. Our bike rental Kiosks in local parks and bike rentals in our North Bend location make it easy for people to get on and ride a bike.

Located in North Bend, Washington, our Experience Center and Trailhead locations are gateways to PNW outdoor recreation. We believe biking is for everyone, and we encourage the responsible use and appreciation of local parks and green spaces. From the Snoqualmie Valley Trail to local world-class singletrack, we provide equipment, coaches, services, and trail expertise to bring mountain and gravel biking to everyone.



Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers with their rental bikes, ensuring a positive and memorable experience

Explain rental bike policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to customers, ensuring their understanding and adherence for a safe biking experience

Clean and safety check bikes as they come in and go out

Set up riders for size and safety. Including seat height and suspension settings (will train)

Collect rental fees and process payments accurately and efficiently

Maintain a clean and organized rental space by restocking merchandise and creatively displaying products to attract customers

Answer customer questions and provide recommendations on biking equipment and accessories

Operate the cash register and handle financial transactions with precision and integrity

Keep accurate records of rental bike inventory and sales transactions, ensuring data integrity and accountability

Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction, promote teamwork, and achieve business goals

Actively participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge


Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members

Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and customers in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed to meet customer demands

Knowledge of bike safety preferred but will train

Previous retail, customer service, and visual merchandising experience preferred

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
