Relationship Banker

$25.12 to $30 Hour*

Full-Time, 40 Hours + Benefits

As a Relationship Banker at Umpqua Bank, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team. This position is production-oriented, emphasizing client engagement, business development, and financial acumen. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, discuss their financial needs, and provide tailored solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their financial goals, needs, and preferences.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify opportunities to expand the bank’s client base. Collaborate with colleagues to generate leads and referrals.
  • Financial Consultation: Discuss business plans, investment strategies, and financial products with clients. Provide personalized advice and recommendations.
  • Risk Management: Navigate within a highly regulated environment. Assess and manage risk while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrate a solid understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets.
  • Continuous Learning: Be a fast learner. Whether through previous coursework or practical experience, stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Approach challenges with creativity and innovation. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or Public Relations, Preferred or Five years in a commercial or community bank.
  • Passion for People: Enjoy meeting and interacting with clients. Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Work Ethic: Be determined and hardworking. Your compensation will reflect your efforts.
  • Risk Tolerance: Comfortable taking calculated risks within the banking industry.
  • Financial Acumen: Understand financial concepts, products, and services.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. *The pay range for this role includes deferred quarterly bonuses and additional compensation, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.

This position is full-time, 40 hours and you will be expected to attend occasional morning or evening public meetings representing Umpqua Bank in the community, and Saturday bank-sponsored events perhaps twice a year.
