Tasting Room Associate

$16.28 Hour + Tips

William Grassie Wine Estates is looking for a part time tasting room associate! We’re a small, locally owned boutique winery located in the heart of Snoqualmie Ridge. If you’re looking for a fun, local place to work with a great family feel, then keep reading for the details!

A successful applicant is outgoing, professional, dependable, flexible, able to multi-task, enjoys working as a part of a team, possesses excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and is comfortable with technology.

•Compensation is based off an hourly rate of $16.28 per hour plus tips.
•Job Type: Part-time (up to 5-10 hours per week or more, as needed), working weekdays and weekends/evening hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Greet all visitors to the tasting rooms and pour wines for tasting and enjoyment.
•Create a warm and memorable experience for the guests.
•Present wines in a professional manner.
•Describe wine club options; promote and procure tastings, glass pours, bottle-sales and memberships to customers.
•Handle routine sales transactions using OrderPort point of sale system; account for daily sales.
•Perform open and closing procedures.
•Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines.
•Assist in maintaining appearance and cleanliness of all facilities.
•Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of our winery and wines.
•Perform other duties as needed with potential for Release Events and Private Event work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Professional, personable, welcoming, with excellent hospitality and customer service focus.
•Wine related experience helpful, though not required. Curiosity and enjoyment of wine is a must!
•Organization and attention to detail.
•Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
•Excellent oral communication skills.
•Professional appearance and demeanor.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Valid MAST Class 12 mixologist Permit from Washington State, as well as a State of Washington Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain each within 30 days).
•Must be 21+ years old.
•Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly.
•Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Must be able to work midweek, and weekends. Minimum of 2 shifts a month.
•Ability to understand, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
